On March 31, 2026, Korea University's GSIS BK21 Program of Glocal Studies in collaboration with Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at KU GSIS successfully hosted the 73rd session of the Glocal Conflict Now lecture series. The event featured Mr. David MaAllister, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament, who delivered an insightful lecture titled "The EU and Asia in the Changing Global Order." During the session, Mr. McAllister explored the evolving dynamics between the European Union and Asia amid shifting geopolitical landscapes. He highlighted key challenges and opportunities in areas such as economic cooperation, security partnerships, and multilateral governance. His remarks emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration in addressing global uncertainties. The lecture was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where participants discussed the EU's role in Indo-Pacific affairs, regional security concerns and the future of EU-Asia relations. Hosted at the International Studies Hall, the event brought together students, faculty, and experts for a meaningful exchange of perspectives on global order and regional cooperation.
